“Four Wheels and a Lipstick”

"You can grow from changes that you did not choose in life. I did not choose to be in this situation, but I did choose to make the most of it. The trick in life is not to break down and fall. We all have crises, and so do I, but the idea is to get up and realize that there are many more good things ahead, as are bad and hard ones, yet, you can deal with anything. It is all a matter of perspective – to examine how I choose to cope and to respond."

On Thursday, we held a meeting for the Stage Three young adults of the Beer Sheva Lamerhav House. The meeting took place at the local Bialik 26 pub, a place with a social agenda that hosted us for the evening. We heard the moving story of Noy Tzabari, entitled “Four Wheels and a Lipstick”. Noy shared her touching personal story with the young adults, how an accident at the age of 12 had left her paralyzed and how she has been coping with the new reality.

The humorous and optimistic lecture has captivated the young adults, who were curious and asked profound and interesting questions and enjoyed a moving and thought-provoking evening.
